Moving to Cairns for escort work is simpler than it sounds, because most of it can be sorted before you arrive. Velvet takes applications from women across Australia, whether you plan to move here for good or come up for a stint. You need to be 18 or over and eligible to work in Australia.
Here is what working in Cairns looks like, and how we make the move easier.
Who books escorts in Cairns
Cairns is a city of visitors. Many of our clients are travellers and FIFO workers staying in hotels and apartments. Every booking is an outcall to a hotel, apartment or home in Cairns, and we take enquiries 24 hours a day.
Clients pay from $800 an hour for the Girlfriend Experience, $1,200 for the Porn Star Experience and $1,600 for the Wild Porn Star Experience, with a one-hour minimum. Every rate is on our services page.
If you are planning a stint, it helps to know the city's rhythm. The dry season, roughly May to October, is when Cairns sees the most visitors.
Coming up for a stint or moving for good
Both work with Velvet. In the application form, tell us where you are now and when you are thinking of coming. We call you while you are still at home, talk it through and work out the timing together.
Once the timing is set, we check your ID, book and pay for your photoshoot, and build your profile with you. You decide what it says and which services you offer, and you can start with just one.
There are no joining fees and no lock-in contract, so a stint can stay a stint. If Cairns suits you, you can stay on.
What we handle while you settle in
Arriving in a new city is where an agency helps most. You don't know the hotels or the clients yet, and you don't need to.
We advertise your profile across our channels and to our existing clients, answer every enquiry, and vet each client before a booking reaches you. We organise your transport to and from bookings and stay in contact while you work.
Your part is good communication. Keep us posted on when you're free, and reply quickly when a booking comes in.
Your privacy comes with you too. You work under a profile name, and faces can be blurred and tattoos covered in your photos. Our guide to keeping escort work private shows what clients see.
What you can earn
Our busiest escorts take home $5,000 to $10,000 a week, after our share. That is the top of the range, not a promise. Where you land depends on the hours you make available and the services on your profile.
You are paid once a week, at the start of the week, and we go through exactly what you keep from each booking on the first call. Our guide to what escorts make in Cairns breaks it down.
Apply from wherever you are
You can apply before you book a flight. Send the form on our escort jobs page with a short note and a few recent photos, and tell us your plans. Only the Operations Team sees your application, and applying does not commit you to anything.
Our step-by-step guide to becoming an escort explains each stage.
